Micallef - Leyenda
The Micallef Leyenda — Spanish for "Legend" — is the brand's expression of bold, full-flavored Nicaraguan craft. Wrapped in a dark, marbled Ecuadorian Habano leaf with a Nicaraguan binder and a long-filler blend drawn from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. The tobaccos are aged five years before rolling, and the cigars themselves are rolled without molds using techniques from a bygone era.
The flavor opens with fresh cedar and zesty cabinet spices at the front, joined by medium-roast coffee bean and a quiet pepper undercurrent. As the smoke develops, vanilla cream emerges through the middle third, balanced by the cedar and spice that carry the cigar steadily forward. The finish closes on a warm, refined note.
Leyenda is medium-plus to full in body, robust without overwhelming — a pyramid-shaped smoke that has earned multiple 90-plus ratings from premium cigar publications. Pair it with bourbon, aged rum, or a long evening when you want the brand at its boldest.
